DocDoc gathers information on each doctor to better understand their strengths and the patients needs to provide a personalised recommendation.
Use of telemedicine is on the rise, but it can often be difficult for patients to find the best doctor for their needs. Typically, the next available doctor is assigned for remote consultations, rather than patients and physicians being paired-up based on the doctor’s area of significant expertise.
DocDoc is filling that gap with their data-driven, AI-powered algorithm that collects hundreds of data points on each doctor to better understand their area of specialism and patient outcomes.
When a patient signs in to the DocDoc app for an appointment, the AI-bot named HOPE takes the patient through a few questions about their needs before recommending a healthcare professional that is most suitable for the consultation. The platform isn’t limited to use in telemedicine – It can be used for matching patients and doctors for face-to-face appointments and procedures as well.
Matching patients with the doctor who is most familiar with their medical concerns increases the likelihood of a satisfactory diagnosis for a better health outcome, a more positive experience, and can save money on unnecessary prescriptions and follow-up appointments.
Currently, DocDoc is available in 8 countries in Asia.
