The app provides free health assessments based on your symptoms and gives information on which steps to take next.
Currently, there is a global shortage of 7 million healthcare workers, and many people lack proper medical care due to their location or finances. As a result, people frequently turn to the internet with their medical questions which can be inaccurate and cause unnecessary anxiety or worry. ’Cyberchondria’, when users diagnose themselves with a disease can also create an undue burden on strained healthcare systems
Ada wanted to find a more accurate way for people to get the information they need. They created their health companion app, a medical assessment tool that can help users understand their symptoms and possible causes.
After entering basic information such as age and weight, you can begin the questionnaire of up to 15 questions about your symptoms that grow more specific with each answer. This is powered by their uniquely ‘trained’ artificial intelligence technology.
Ada offers you possible causes of the symptoms, options for management, and allows you to keep track of how you are feeling. The results can be saved to show medical professionals if you decide to seek further help. At the time of writing, Ada has 8 million users worldwide and has completed 15 million health assessments.
