The app uses data from over 5.9 million logged workouts to create personalised routines that will help users reach new goals.
For many, the idea of heading to the gym and lifting weights can be a daunting prospect if they’re new to strength training. The iOS app removes the guesswork and gives users the confidence they need by providing exercises, demonstrating how to do them, and suggesting reps and weights. FitnessAI provides users with many of the perks that having a personal trainer does but without an expensive price tag.
FitnessAI has a massive dataset of 5.9 million workouts logged by over 40k weightlifters that the algorithm uses to generate workouts. With this data, the app understands the perfect rate of progression for each exercise to help users avoid burnout while building strength and breaking personal bests.
For new users, the personalised workouts are created based on the user’s height and weight. The user tracks each exercise as they go, such as how many reps they were able to do in each set. After 4-8 workouts are logged, the AI kicks in and provides tailored full-body lifting workouts. The user interface or UI was designed with simplicity in mind – Inputting data rapidly means the focus is on the session, not on the phone.
For under $100 a year, FitnessAI offers people the confidence they need to reach their weightlifting goals. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, FitnessAI has added bodyweight exercises to the app so people in isolation with no equipment can still benefit from the program.
