Mothers can get advice from midwives by phone or instant chat regarding childbirth, breastfeeding, pregnancy, and more.
Kinderheldin is an online midwife service that connects parents with experienced midwives in Germany. The platform offers a way for parents and expectant parents to get the information they need from the comfort of their home. Midwives are available from 7 am to 10 pm and can provide clear answers to questions that cover a diverse range of topics.
Along with having in-depth advice offered freely on their site, Kinderheldin also provides a full breastfeeding package that includes videos, a breastfeeding guide, and direct access to the midwives. A flat monthly fee gives parents an unlimited number of calls and chats to the midwives.
The Coronavirus pandemic can feel like an uncertain time for new and expecting mothers, with changes in access to classes and usual medical care. Kinderheldin reacted quickly to the needs of expectant parents and developed an online birth preparation course.
It’s a live course with small class sizes that will take expectant parents through all the birth preparation information typically gained from a face-to-face class. Having unlimited remote access to midwives during the Covid-19 pandemic means a reduced chance of spreading or being exposed to the virus.
