My Yoga Teacher offers authentic live yoga classes to be taken in the comfort of your own home.
Yoga has been proven to reduce stress, increase strength, help with weight loss, and improve mental and physical wellbeing. With over 100 000 students ranging in experience and over 100 certified yoga instructors from the best yoga schools and universities globally, My Yoga Teacher offers a plethora of classes that can be taken in the privacy of the home.
Doctors of yoga, yoga therapists, and other teachers all have over 900 hours of certified training, and some come from India, being raised and trained in the birthplace of yoga. Each instructor has their profile, including highlights of their areas of expertise and short introduction videos so that students can choose the right instructor for them.
Class types and sizes fluctuate. Group classes are offered and are similar to an in-person yoga class. There are over 42 daily classes available, ranging in levels from ‘Yoga 101’ for beginners, or specific yoga technique classes, such as Vinyasa and Power Yoga, for more experienced pupils. Yoga with friends is another class-type option, where companions can join them in a private class just for their group. ‘1 on 1’ sessions are available, where students can meet with a yoga instructor in a course tailored specifically for them and their goals. This option is ideal for overcoming specific obstacles, such as back pain. Weekly workshop classes are convenient for those looking to learn a new, specific yoga technique. Anyone also looking to become a yoga instructor can take My Yoga Teacher’s teacher training course, a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified course for those ready to teach others.
To take a class with My Yoga Teacher, users must create an account on their website or app, book a class, and join via their smartphone or tablet. A two-week free trial is optional for those who want to try out the program, but other plans are available to meet the needs of every student and are charged every 28 days. Other wellness platforms include Calm, Tripp which uses VR and Headspace. All seek to remove barriers and improve access to wellbeing solutions.
