MedShr allows medical professionals and students to share cases with the global healthcare community for discussion and education. The medical professional has full control over who they share the case with, whether it’s one colleague or the community as a whole.
Sharing medical cases with the healthcare community is a vital part of education for medical workers while providing an opportunity to discuss and aid in complex scenarios. However, most technology available for sharing cases is limited to specific colleagues or teams.
MedShr is a secure mobile app for approved medical professionals to join a global community. Members set up a personal profile with information about themselves, including their specialities, and are free to browse other profiles and medical cases. Members can follow each other and join groups to build a personalised community relevant to their profession.
When a doctor wants to share a clinical issue with the community, they are able to obtain consent in the form of a signature from the patient directly in the mobile app. Doctors maintain full control over the case’s privacy settings and can change it at any time. Cases can be shared with individual professionals, groups, or the entire MedShr community. Medical images can be shared with the case, and built-in privacy features allow for easy photo editing to cover faces or other distinguishable information.
Members can discuss the cases either openly or through direct messaging. Having fast access to a global community of medical professionals with a variety of backgrounds allows for members to learn from interesting medical cases and collect advice and opinions from specialists when collaboration is needed.
