Lenire - Neuromod
Location: Ireland

Neuromod’s innovative device is the first of its kind to offer a non-invasive treatment for tinnitus relief.

Tinnitus is one of the more common neurological disorders that can be treated with bi-modal neuromodulation. 10% of the adult population suffer from this often debilitating condition which can have effects that greatly impact day-to-day activities and lead to mental health problems.

Neuromod’s non-invasive three-part medical device includes a handheld controller, an intra-oral device to deliver mild energy impulses, and a Bluetooth headset that pairs sound with the energy impulses.

Bi-modal neuromodulation works by stimulating two nerves at once and creates signal patterns that make changes to the brain to reduce the symptoms of tinnitus. Neuromod’s device, Lenire, is often prescribed by clinicians for 30 minutes a day with 2+ follow-up visits over 3 months to assess its effectiveness.

Lenire is the first non-invasive option for bi-modal neuromodulation and has shown improvements in 2/3 patients during clinical trials and currently, over 600 patients have used the technology. Many of these participants noticed their tinnitus relief was maintained after they stopped using Lenire. Presently, it is offered for use in Europe.
