The Peloton tread includes thousands of classes, ranging from marathon race prep to sleep meditation, encompassing all facets of health and a variety of fitness levels.
Running is a favoured exercise by many. It has excellent health benefits, and there are many apps supporting runners. Now, riding on with the success of the Peloton cycle, the company is bringing the ease and benefits of virtual exercise classes with connected equipment to running.
This tread offers “next level total body training.” Users have access to various running classes, including fun runs, bootcamps and power walks. Additionally, “off the tread” workouts are available for a total body workout, with classes ranging from strength to HIIT workouts. Users can even take everyday themed classes, such as a 30-minute hip hop run, a 30-minute pride run, a 45-minute rock run, and more. Treaders can stack their classes for a total body workout to keep their momentum up.
Also included in the Peloton Tread is the user’s ability to track their progress. The 23.8” HD touchscreen allows users to track their progress and see metrics including speed, mileage, elevation gain, and more to reach achievements and goals, such as maintaining a workout streak or hitting a milestone. Progress can be tracked, as users can view data from each class or in a real-time fashion. Leaderboards add that competitive touch to each class. Adjustable knobs on the side of the machine can easily add speed or incline, and immersive, front-facing speakers are included so that the focus is kept on the workout instead of the setting.
This program includes thousands of popular songs that are incorporated into the workout classes. Playlists are created for each class, so users can preview what music will be played or in a past class. The Peloton Tread can create artist and genre themed runs, and an Apple Music or Spotify account can be linked to save songs to personal libraries.
One Peloton Tread membership can be used for the entire home, as individual profiles can be created. Furthermore, the Peloton app can be accessed from smartphones, TVs, tablets, or web browsers, allowing members to access classes from anywhere. Owners of the Peloton can add on the Tread feature without an additional membership.
