Nice Healthcare is an employee benefit program for employees and their dependents in eleven states. Employees can access prescriptions, remote consultations, and in-home assessments when needed.
Many Americans don’t have access to a universal healthcare system which can make getting the proper health care a worry. The added stress and untreated health issues often reflect in the quality of work that employees perform, which is why health benefit plans frequently have a high return for employers. Previously, Once Daily has featured employee health services for mental health, telemedicine and for musculoskeletal pain.
Currently available in eleven states, Nice Healthcare offers health benefits for $27 – $36 for each employee per month. When an employee or their dependents need a consultation with the nurse practitioner or physician assistant, they can schedule an appointment and fill out information directly through the mobile app. When it’s time for their appointment, they can chat with the healthcare professional through instant chat or video, and share pictures.
The nurse practitioners can write prescriptions during the appointment and submit them to the patient’s pharmacy of choice. In January 2021, Nice Healthcare plans to add 550 free prescriptions that can be picked up at a local pharmacy or mailed directly to the patient.
During the virtual appointment, if the nurse practitioner or physician assistant feels the employee needs to be seen in-person, they can visit the employee in their own home. The exam may include blood draws, X-rays, labs, and physical assessments. However, service areas for in-home visits are limited. Overall, the service covers minor illnesses or injuries, chronic health issues and wellness check-ups.
