Smart insoles provide unique running measurements to improve form

NURVV smart insole
Location: United Kingdom

Each smart insole has sixteen sensors that measure pronation, balance, cadence, and more. Runners can receive real-time coaching and monitor their performance over time.

NURVV Run is a system for runners that uses smart insoles to collect a variety of running-related measurements. Each insole has sixteen high-precision sensors that transfer a variety of data to the paired device.

NURVV Run tracks all the core metrics someone would expect from a run tracker: time, elevation, calories, and pace. However, the unique data it is able to provide runners can significantly increase performance and decrease the risk of injury.

The smart insoles also track cadence, pronation, foot strike, balance, and step length. The runner is monitored in real-time and the connected device, such as a smartphone or smartwatch, provides audio and visual cues during the run. A pace coach can guide and tailor to the desired speed according to the users unique running pattern.

Data is collected and stored in the app for the runner to review their performance and receive feedback. NURVV calculates a run and health score, so it is easy for the user to see how their performance is changing over time. Advice is provided based on the individual’s measurements to improve performance with features such as a footstrike trainer.

The insoles are made to last three times longer than a pair of running shoes and can be used for five hours on a single charge. The insoles can be used on their own, with a smartphone, or connected to a Garmin device or Apple Watch. Other insole wearables include one to prevent diabetic ulcers by bonbouton.
